Flemish Association of Classics Teachers

The quarterly members' journal of the Flemish Association of Classics Teachers is named Prora (Latin for 'prow'). It is edited by the board of directors of our association and contains informative, didactic and practise-oriented articles. An annual subscription to Prora is included in the membership of our association.

In the journal Prora you find among other things the following contributions:

• a preface by the chairman or editor in chief;
• theoretic explanations on classical languages or culture;
• didactic suggestions from teachers' educational practise;
• current articles on education in Flanders and more concretely on the situation of Latin and Greek;
• reviews on books and publications about classical Antiquity;
• tips for websites about classical languages and culture;
• an extensive calendar with all activities in Belgium and abroad about classical Antiquity: training courses, continuing education, lectures, conferences, exhibitions, theatrical and musical performances, museum workshops, events, journeys etc.

Four times a year (in March, June, September and December) all members of our association receive a copy of the journal Prora sent home for free.
